Markon’s supplier of fresh-cut grapefruit has started transitioning into new crop Texas Rio supplies. During this transition there may be some variability in the internal color of fresh-cut grapefruit items due to mixed varieties of raw product. A full transition into Texas Rio grapefruit is expected by the week of November 9.

• Expect mild flavor in early season Texas Rios
• Flesh color will be vibrant red
• Color will deepen and flavor will sweeten as the season progresses
