Demand for red, yellow and white onions has strengthened in the Northwest. Prices are rising.  

• Several Northwestern onion packers have concluded their production seasons ahead of schedule  
• Extremely limited supplies of Mexican red, yellow, and white onions are being crossed into Texas
• The Texas-grown, fresh-run onion season is behind schedule due to rain and cold weather and will not begin until early April
