The Idaho potato market continues to climb. Freezing temperatures during the October 2019 harvests have affected the integrity of storage crop Burbanks. Expect packing delays until new crop, fresh-run Norkotahs become available in early August. Placing orders in advance is recommended to ensure coverage. 

• Demand for raw product is increasing, creating competition for remaining 2019-2020 fresh-market crop supplies
• Processor demand has risen as North America opens from COVID-19 shelter in place rules
• Supplementing Washington Markon First Crop Norkotah Potatoes may be necessary to bridge the gap until new crop, Idaho Norkotahs enter the market
• New crop harvesting is set to begin during the week of August 3
