Asparagus prices are increasing rapidly; supplies are tightening. The Baja and Mexicali, Mexico seasons are winding down. Limited supplies from California, Peru, and Washington are on the market, but volume is not high enough to meet demand. 

• Expect tight stocks until May, when harvesting starts in Central Mexico
• Quality is good: spears are deep green and tips are tight
• Markets will remain elevated through mid-May
