UPDATE: REDUCED STRAWBERRY SUPPLIES

Markets continue to strengthen. Recent hail/rain has significantly reduced supplies in the California growing regions. Harvesting in Mexico and Florida is winding down.
Oxnard/Santa Maria, California
- Markon First Crop Strawberries are available

Weather forecasts call for light rain this upcoming Friday morning, along with continued low evening/morning temperatures (in the 30◦-40◦ F range)
- Although quality is good, fruit color is taking longer than normal to reach specification levels
- Supplies are limited
- Harvesting crews continue to work through hail/rain damaged crops to pack clean clamshells
Mexico
- The season is winding down
- Expect extremely low volume over the next 7 to 10 days
- Quality will fall as the season wraps up
Florida
- Supplies are decreasing day over day as the season comes to a close
- There will be a significant drop in stocks over the next 7 to 10 days
- Quality variance is causing a two-tiered market
