California storage supplies from the 2020 harvest are nearly depleted. New crop supplies are two to three weeks out. Ready-Set-Serve (RSS) Peeled Garlic from California is extremely limited; packer label peeled garlic from Mexico will be substituted through the week of July 12.

• California growers are in their last lots of storage supplies and yields are poor with quality issues
• Most processors of peeled garlic will be utilizing Mexican raw product over the next two to three weeks to help bridge the gap
• Pungency and oil content is lower than California garlic but better than Chinese garlic
• California new crop harvesting will begin in a limited manner on June 28; adequate supplies of new crop California peeled garlic will start shipping the week of July 19
