Markon’s supplier of fresh-cut oranges has begun to transition into new crop supplies of California Navels. During this transition there may be some variability in the internal color of fresh-cut orange items due to mixed varieties of raw product. A full transition into Navels is expected by late October.

• Early season Navel oranges will have firm texture
• Flesh color will be light; flavor may exhibit a slight bitterness
• Color will deepen and flavor will sweeten as the season progresses
