UPDATE: Rain Continues to Impact California Strawberry Production

Rain continues to impact the major California strawberry growing regions. Prices are rising; supplies will remain limited over the next two weeks.

The Oxnard and Santa Maria, California growing regions received approximately one and a half inches of rain yesterday
- Comparable amounts are forecast today
- Growers will walk the fields tomorrow and cull damaged fruit
- The Florida season is past peak production; supplies will decline over the next several weeks
- Limited quantities of Mexican berries are being shipped into South Texas; most suppliers have ended production for the season
