UPDATE: Rain in the Arizona-California Desert Regions

February 20, 2017
The Arizona/California desert growing regions received between a half and one inch of rain over this past weekend. Conditions are muddy; suppliers are working to keep boxes as dry and clean as possible.

Temperatures are predicted to rise to the low to mid-70s over the next several days, causing more bottom rot/decay, increased mildew pressure, premature pinking, shortened shelf-life, and weak tip in many commodity and value-added items.

Markon inspectors will continue to monitor quality and field conditions closely and work with growers to select the best lots available.
