New crop, fresh-run Markon First Crop (MFC) Onions are currently being shipped out of California, New Mexico, and Texas.     

• Limited supplies of MFC Onions from New Mexico are on the market; supplies will increase next week
• Southern California-grown MFC Onions will be available through the next week
• Lower-than-normal temperatures and rain have delayed the California Central Valley onion season; shipping will begin the week of June 10
• The fresh-run MFC Onion season will end in South Texas next week; packer label onions will be available in Uvalde, Texas through June 7 
• Fresh-run onions have feathery skins and light color compared to Northwest storage onions
