Markon First Crop (MFC) Red, White, and Yellow Onions are readily available in the Northwest. Limited supplies of Mexican onions, crossing into South Texas, are now on the market.     

Idaho, Oregon, Utah, and Washington

• MFC Red, White, and Yellow Onions will be available through April
• Supplies of MFC Red, White, and Yellow Onions will begin to wind down in Utah by the middle of April

Colorado

• Packer label red, white and yellow onions remain available
• Supplies will be available through the end of March

South Texas

• Limited supplies of packer label white and yellow onions from Mexico (crossing into Texas) are available
  • Early season sizes are dominated by medium and jumbo onions  
  • Red onions will be available the week of January 29
• Texas-grown MFC Red, White, and Yellow Onions are forecast to enter the market the first week of January 29; jumbo yellow No. 2 onions are not available in Texas due to a federal marketing order

California

• MFC Red, White, and Yellow Onions will become available the last week of May

New Mexico

• MFC Red, White, and Yellow Onions are forecast to hit the market in late May
