Markon First Crop (MFC) Onions remain available in the Northwest. Limited supplies of Texas-grown MFC Red, White, and Yellow Onions are also on the market.

Idaho, Oregon, and Washington

• MFC Red and Yellow Onions are expected to be on the market in Idaho and Oregon through late April; white onion supplies are nearly depleted
• MFC Red and Yellow Onions from Washington will be available through the first week of May
• Late-season storage onions have golden, cured skins, but may occasionally be softer than usual and/or exhibit double-centered cores (pictures attached)

South Texas

• MFC Red, White, and Yellow Onion supplies will be sporadic over the next few weeks
• Prices are beginning to increase
• Spring/fresh-run onions will have feathery skins and light color/exterior skin compared to Northwest storage onions (pictures attached)

California

• MFC Red, White, and Yellow Onions will become available the week of April 17

New Mexico

• MFC Red, White, and Yellow Onions are forecast to hit the market in mid-May
