Markon First Crop (MFC) Onions remain available in California and New Mexico. Limited supplies of fresh-run, packer label onions will be available through mid-August. The Idaho/Oregon season will get underway the week of August 9.  

• MFC Onions will ship out of California’s San Joaquin Valley through mid-August; the New Mexico season will run concurrently  
• Colorado stocks will start shipping in mid-August
• Utah-grown supplies will come available the first part of September
• Onions out of the Northwest will have a rounder, more globe-like shape than stocks shipped during the spring/summer months; these early season stocks will still exhibit thin, light-colored skins until shipped out of storage
