The Northwest is experiencing one the biggest truck shortages seen in recent history. Truck freight rates are being quoted at alarming levels.  

• Packing facilities’ storage areas are full of finished product as many purchase orders are not being picked up
• When trucks are unable to pick up POs, potato sheds cannot produce new orders, as they do not have available storage space to hold more finished product
• New POs may not be available on the requested loading dates until floor space frees up
