Recent heavy rains have left standing water in potato fields across Michigan, North Dakota, and Wisconsin. Harvesting has been put on hold. The freezing temperatures that are forecast near the end of the week may also cause severe crop loss. 

Idaho and Washington will be the primary regions with colored potatoes this season; expect limited supplies in addition to elevated prices through the 2019-2020 storage crop season.
