Markon First Crop Limes are available. Rain in the primary growing region of Veracruz, Mexico has curtailed harvesting; prices are inching up. 

• Lime shipments (into South Texas) are slightly below normal levels this week due to wet weather
  • Harvesting has been sporadic in some areas due to muddy, wet field conditions
  • Fruit must dry out prior to picking to avoid oil spotting
  • Excessive moisture can lead to increased stylar end break down in raw product
• The size curve continues to shift; prices for large sizes (110- to 150-count) are holding firm, while markets for smaller fruit (230- to 250-count) are much higher
