Lime prices are rising; shipments from Mexico into the U.S. are below normal. Fewer supplies are being harvested due to a combination of wet weather in the primary growing region and limited labor availability caused by Holidays.

• Veracruz, Mexico received approximately two inches of rain last Tuesday, March 13 and Wednesday, March 14
• More rain is forecast for Tuesday, March 20 through Thursday, March 22
• Holy Week will begin Sunday, March 25 and run through Easter Sunday, April 1
• Harvesting will be curtailed during this time period, resulting in fewer limes being picked, packed, and shipped for the U.S. market
• Expect elevated prices through the week of April 2
• Markon First Crop and Markon Essential Limes are available
