Lime prices continue to rise; supplies are extremely limited in Mexico (shipped into South Texas). The market took a big jump this past weekend and is expected to take another by the end of this week.

• Yields are scarce in Veracruz, Mexico; lime shipments into the U.S. are much lighter than normal
• High prices and tight supplies are common for this time of year; strong winds knocked blooms off trees several months ago during Mexico’s rainy season
• Expect elevated markets through late March/early April, when new crop harvesting starts and stocks begin to increase
• Markon First Crop and Markon Essentials Limes are sporadic; packer label is being substituted as needed
