Lime prices will rise over the next 7-10 days as heavy rainfall is expected in the primary growing region in Mexico.

• Markon First Crop Limes are available from Mexico (loading in McAllen, Texas)
• Three to four inches of rain is forecast for Veracruz, Mexico this Sunday and Monday, January 29^th and 30^th
  • ^​Harvesting will be delayed for a few days due to muddy, wet field conditions
  • The number of shipments crossing into South Texas next week will decline
• Excessive moisture can lead to increased stylar end break down in raw product
• Retail demand will increase next week for Super Bowl LII (Sunday, February 4)
• Lime markets are expected to remain elevated through March, which is typical for this time of year
