Lime prices will begin to rise over the next several weeks. The rain that is forecast in Veracruz, Mexico will slow harvesting over the next ten days. Labor will tighten as the Christmas season approaches; many harvesters work less during this time period. Lime growers will struggle to meet North American demand as supplies decrease. Expect elevated prices by late November.

• Quality is good: blanching is an occasional problem as growers reach the middle of the season
• Expect supplies to tighten over the next two weeks
• Precipitation will hamper harvests over the next ten days
• Quality will fall due to the excessive moisture
• Rain increases problems such as decay and stylar
• Small sizes (230- to 250-count fruit) will be especially limited
• As growers transition into mid-season, the size profile of the crop is increasing
• The crop profile is always small during the early season
• By late season, large sizes dominate stocks
• Labor availability shrinks as the Christmas season nears
• Production will decrease during the winter growing season (November through April); the market will rise
• By late December, temperatures drop and available sunlight decreases in Veracruz; overall production will decline dramatically
