Lettuce and leaf prices are easing. Expect good supplies into next week.    

• Earlier in the week, the Salinas Valley received light rain; followed by warm temperatures, which accelerated growth
  • Growers have increased their daily harvested due to the accelerated plant growth, creating more supply than the market can bear and reducing price levels
• Quality concerns will still be present in finished packs, seeders, mildew, and tip burn
