UPDATE: Lemons

April 27, 2016

Markon First Crop (MFC) and Markon Essentials (ESS) Lemons are available; packer label is being substituted as needed. California’s Central Valley growing season is winding down and will end over the next four weeks. Increased demand and limited quantities of 140-count and smaller lemons (through late July/early August) will drive up prices. The market is elevated and expected to continue increasing week to week over the next two months. Supplies will increase when Chilean lemons begin arriving into the United States toward the end of June and the Mexican season starts in early August.
