Lemon prices are rising. Offshore Chilean lemons entered the market this week.

• Markon First Crop and Markon Essentials Lemons are available
• Harvesting has fully transitioned from the San Joaquin Valley, California to the Southern California coastal region
  • Increased moisture, high temperatures, and strong winds typically cause more quality issues in this area
  • Shelf-life is shorter than normal at this time of year
• Expect prices to continue climbing through the summer
  • Offshore Chilean and Argentine lemons are now available
  • There is no difference in pack size, color, or taste in domestic and offshore fruit
  • Mexican lemons will become available in early August
