Markon First Crop (MFC) and Markon Essentials (ESS) Lemons are sporadic; packer label domestic and Mexican lemons are being substituted through this week. New crop Arizona/California desert supplies and San Joaquin Valley stocks continue to increase. Prices remain elevated, but are starting to ease due to increasing volume.

California

• MFC and ESS Lemons are sporadic this week
• Packer label supplies will be substituted as needed through next week 
• Adequate quantities of MFC Lemons will be available the week of November 16
• The Arizona/California desert region is the primary growing region; the season will continue through March
• New crop supplies are dominated by 140-count and larger sizes
• 165-count and smaller stocks will be moderate through January
• Fancy grade fruit is the most abundant; choice grade supplies are limited
• New crop San Joaquin Valley lemons are now available
• Supplies of 140- to 165-count lemons are sufficient
• Fancy grade fruit is the most abundant; choice grade stocks are tight
• Cooler nights in the San Joaquin Valley will help enhance color; fruit will need less time in gas rooms
• The season will run through May
• Prices remain elevated, but are starting to ease as supplies increase
• Overall quality is very good

Mexican

• Product will be available for loading out of California’s San Joaquin Valley through this week
• Stocks loading out of South Texas will remain available through mid-December
• Supplies of 140-count and smaller lemons are becoming tight; prices are climbing
• Quality is good
