UPDATE: Idaho Potatoes - End of Storage Crop

The Idaho Burbank storage crop season has ended. Demand will shift to fresh-run new crop Norkotahs from Colorado, Idaho, Texas, and Washington until new crop Idaho supplies increase.
Idaho New Crop Norkotahs
- Production of No. 2 potatoes will be extremely low as fresh-run Norkotah quality is excellent and dominated by No. 1 grade stocks
- Prices will remain elevated through early September
- Size is dominated by 80- through 100-count potatoes; 40- through 70-count sizes are limited
- Order lead-time and flexible loading dates will be needed for coverage
New Crop Burbanks
- New crop Burbank harvesting will begin in late September
- Fresh-run packer label supplies will be on the market while harvesting takes place
- Markon First Crop Burbank Potatoes will enter the market in late October.
