Idaho potato supplies continue to tighten; prices are climbing. Expect packing delays until new crop, fresh-run Norkotahs become available in early August. Placing orders in advance is recommended to ensure coverage.

• Freezing temperatures during the October 2019 harvests have affected the integrity of storage crop Burbanks
• Sheds must run more raw product to pack the same number of cartons, reducing already limited supplies
• Supplementing Washington Markon First Crop Norkotah Potatoes may be necessary to bridge the gap until new crop, Idaho Norkotahs enter the market
• New crop harvesting is set to begin during the week of August 3
