Demand has shifted from cartons to retail bags, and as a result the market for large sizes, 40- to 70-count cartons, is declining. Retail demand remains above seasonal averages for 80- to 100-count and non A-size bags; prices are elevated.  

• Idaho 40- to 70-count cartons are abundant
• The market for 80- to 100-count cartons is elevated
• 5/10-pound, 10/5-pound, and 6/8-pound retail bales are available
• The increase in demand is forecast to cause a gap in Idaho potato supplies by late July; new crop harvesting is estimated to begin August 3
