Markon First Crop (MFC) Norkotah Potatoes are readily available in Idaho. Growers have started harvesting new crop Burbanks. A limited supply of fresh-run packer label Burbanks will be available September 27 through October 13.

New Crop Norkotahs

• Norkotah quality is excellent: minor skinning, excess moisture, and cooler mold may be observed in fresh-run potatoes 
• The majority of the Norkotah harvest is being placed in storage cellars for the upcoming season
• Norkotahs that have gone through the sweat process will be available in early to mid-October
• Discounts are available on load volumes of 40- to 70-count sizes.

New Crop Burbanks

• New crop Burbank harvesting has begun
• The profile is currently dominated by 80-count and smaller sizes with reports of hollow heart and irregular shape
• Fresh-run packer label supplies will be available, although initially very limited, while production takes place (September 27 through October 13)
• MFC Burbank Potatoes will be cellared for the sweat process, then enter the market in early November
