Markon First Crop (MFC) Idaho Burbank Potatoes are available. New crop Norkotahs will be available in early to mid-August.

Storage Crop

• The Burbank variety will be shipped until new crop, field-run Norkotahs become available in early to mid-August 
• Quality is good: pressure bruising and hollow heart are sporadic issues
  • Storage crop quality will weaken as the season nears the end
  • Sheds will need to run more raw product to pack the same number of cartons, reducing available supplies
• Size profile is dominated by the small and large end of the spectrum; 50- to 80-count stocks require more lead-time to produce

New Crop Norkotahs and Burbanks

• New crop Norkotah harvesting will begin in early August
• New crop Burbank production will start in late September/early October
• Current estimates are on schedule with normal production

White Russets

• Storage crop White Russets will be available through mid-August
• New crop harvesting will begin in late September/early October
• New crop White Russets will be available to load November 1; this variety must go through the sweat process before shipment
