The iceberg and romaine lettuce markets continue to rise; expect limited supplies and high prices through the transition from the Salinas Valley to the Arizona/California desert growing region (mid- to late November).

• Markon First Crop Premium Iceberg and Romaine are sporadic; Markon Best Available will be substituted as necessary
• High temperatures experienced over the past four to five weeks, followed by cooler-than-normal weather, have reduced yields in the Salinas Valley
• Iceberg lettuce shipments will start as early as next week in Huron, California (San Joaquin Valley); however, there is not enough supply to curtail demand
