The iceberg lettuce market is escalating quickly; romaine prices will follow suit over the next several weeks.

• Markon First Crop Premium Iceberg and Romaine are sporadic; Markon Best Available will be substituted as necessary
• High temperatures experienced over the past four to five weeks, followed by lower-than-normal temperatures, have reduced yields in the Salinas Valley
• Expect limited supplies and elevated markets through the transition from the Salinas Valley to the Arizona/California desert growing region (in mid-November)
