Iceberg and green leaf lettuce demand is strong due to Memorial Day orders and businesses reopening from COVID-19 shut-downs. Rain that is forecast for Sunday, May 17, through Tuesday, May 19 will further tighten supplies.

• Prices will gradually increase through next week, then stabilize after the holiday weekend
• Harvesting will be delayed due to wet, muddy conditions; crews will work to minimize dirt and mud on boxes
• Markon First Crop suppliers will pack orders in advance to ensure coverage for orders loading at the beginning of next week
