Lettuce markets are active due to strengthening demand coupled with lower field weights and tighter supplies.
- Demand continues to increase as COVID-19-related indoor dining restrictions are being eased

Quality is good
- Harvesting crews are culling frost, mildew, and wind-damaged outer leaves at the field level
- Iceberg density, size, and weights are inconsistent following low temperatures

As growers approach the spring harvesting transition, iceberg and romaine stocks are tightening; ample supplies of green leaf remain available
- The season in Huron, California will begin in mid-March
- Salinas, California production will start by early April
- The Arizona/California desert season will wind down in late March
- Expect active prices as the Arizona/California desert enters the final weeks of harvesting and growers begin to transition to Huron and Salinas, California
