  • Quality is good
    • Harvesting crews are culling frost, mildew, and wind-damaged outer leaves at the field level
    • Iceberg density, size, and weights are inconsistent following low temperatures
  • As growers approach the spring harvesting transition, iceberg and romaine stocks are tightening; ample supplies of green leaf remain available
    • The season in Huron, California will begin in mid-March
    • Salinas, California production will start by early April
    • The Arizona/California desert season will wind down in late March
  • Expect active prices as the Arizona/California desert enters the final weeks of harvesting and growers begin to transition to Huron and Salinas, California
