UPDATE: HURRICANE ETA

Tropical Storm Eta has strengthened to a Category One Hurricane, and has shifted northeast towards the coast of Western Florida. It is now expected to make landfall along Florida’s Gulf Coast Thursday, November 13. Hurricane Eta will bring heavy downpours, dangerous flash flooding, river flooding, and landslides with maximum sustained winds of 75mph.  

Expect fall fruit and vegetable production in Florida’s growing areas of Ruskin, Palmetto, Labelle, Immokalee, and Dover to be affected by the high winds and heavy rainfall. Markon will continue to monitor and update as more information becomes available.
