UPDATE: Hurricane Blanca

Hurricane Blanca, recently upgraded from a tropical storm, is strengthening in the Eastern Pacific Ocean and expected to reach the southern tip of Baja, Mexico by early Sunday. Although currently stationary, Blanca will begin moving towards land by Thursday.
- Vegetables including bell peppers, cucumbers, chile peppers, squash, and tomatoes are grown in Baja throughout summer months
- No watches or warnings are currently in effect, but the situation is being actively monitored
- Hurricane Andres, the first named hurricane of the Pacific season, is weakening over cool waters
