Above-normal temperatures persist in Mexico’s Baja Peninsula; supplies are diminishing due to the excessive heat. Prices will rise over the next several weeks due to decreased stocks.

• Extreme and consistent heat will decrease onion growth
• The heat is creating smaller, lightweight onions, which is lowering yields
• Medium-, large-, and jumbo-size green onions are extremely limited; small sizes are most abundant
• Expect tight supplies, and elevated prices over the next three weeks
