Cool temperatures and rainy weather conditions in the Baja and Mexicali, Mexico growing regions will limit green onion supplies in the coming days. Prices are rising.

• The recent wet/cool climate will make onions more brittle and increase mechanical damage    
• Growers expect smaller sizes and lower yields for the next couple weeks  
• Expect prices to climb into next week; Markon will monitor trigger levels for Ready-Set-Serve Green Onions and update in the coming days
