Green leaf, iceberg, and romaine supplies will continue to be limited over the next several weeks. Next week’s green leaf and romaine volumes are forecast even lower than this week.

• Markon First Crop Premium Green Leaf, Iceberg, and Romaine Lettuces are sporadic; Markon Best Available is being substituted due to low weights and quality issues
• Supplies will be tighter and prices will continue to escalate next week
• Value-added green leaf and romaine stocks will be especially tight
  • Processors and commodity suppliers are experiencing extremely strong demand, forcing them to hold customers to averages
  • Markon recommends members monitor sales to ensure key customers are covered
