Green leaf, iceberg, and romaine supplies are tightening; prices will start climbing next week.    

• Markon First Crop Premium Green Leaf, Iceberg, and Romaine are sporadic; Markon Best Available will be substituted as necessary
• High temperatures experienced earlier this month have caused quality problems and reduced yields
• Processors have begun purchasing fields of iceberg and romaine to supplement their raw product losses
• The Salinas Valley will experience lower-than-normal temperatures this week, slowing plant growth
• Regionally grown stocks will decline over the next several weeks, shifting demand back to the West Coast
