Green leaf, iceberg, and romaine markets remain depressed. An abundance of supply and weak demand is pushing prices slightly lower.  

• Demand is weak following the Mother’s Day holiday pull; supplies far exceed demand
• Field weights in Salinas, California have increased
• Markon First Crop Premium Iceberg Lettuce is being packed consistently
• Quality is very good: minor internal burn, sunscald, and wind damage are present in some lots
• New Mexico production has started; harvesting in Colorado and on the East Coast of Canada and the United States will begin in July
• Expect low prices over the next two to three weeks at minimum
