Lettuce markets are inching up as demand rebounds.
- Demand continues to increase following recent unseasonably cold temperatures experienced across the United States
- Many COVID-19-related indoor dining restrictions are being eased, further strengthening demand
- Quality is very good, despite recent lettuce ice events; sporadic growth cracks, mildew damage, fringe burn, and uneven texture are present in some lots

Supplies remain plentiful in the Arizona/California desert as growers approach spring harvesting transition
- The season in Huron, California will begin in mid-March
- Salinas, California production will begin by early April
- The Arizona/California desert season will wind down in late March
- Expect active prices over the next two to three weeks, provided stronger demand levels are sustained
