Markon First Crop (MFC) Cantaloupe Melons will be available beginning May 8 from California’s Imperial Valley. MFC Honeydew Melons will be available starting May 10.

• Quality is excellent
• Large sizes (9-count cantaloupe and 5-count honeydew) will dominate supplies while the season ramps up
• The desert season will reach its peak by May 30 and end in early July
• Westside melons (grown on the western side of California’s San Joaquin Valley) will be harvested by early July
• Expect stable prices as domestic supplies increase over the next three weeks.
