Domestic Markon First Crop Yellow and Zucchini Squashes are available from growing regions on both coasts.

West Coast

• The Santa Maria, California domestic summer squash season is underway
• Quality is very good
• Overall volume is expected to remain ample for several weeks
• Growing conditions have been favorable apart from sporadic high winds that have caused occasional scarring in some fields
• The West Coast domestic season typically runs through late October, pending weather

East Coast

• Production is at its peak in Georgia; harvesting is winding down in North Florida
• Scattered showers are forecast in Georgia for Saturday, June 4 and Sunday, June 5; these storms could cause occasional bruising and/or wind scarring
• Volume is low in North Carolina; production will ramp up over the next two weeks
• Squash harvesting will transition north to Michigan by early July
