UPDATE: Declining Lime Prices

Prices are easing; Mexican supplies are becoming more plentiful.

  • Weather has been favorable in the growing region of Veracruz, Mexico
  • Overall quality is good
  • Import crossings (from Mexico into South Texas) are expected to ramp up the week before Holy Week, April 15 through April 21
    • Labor will be short and harvesting will be curtailed for the Easter Holiday
    • Lime suppliers will cross product in advance to meet industry demand and border delay concerns
  • Prices will continue to ease through the month of April
