February 16, 2021
Cucumber markets are active. Poor weather in Mexico has slowed growth and reduced harvestable yields. Snow and ice in Texas have caused major delays that are affecting crossings from Mexico.

- Crops are producing fewer super select and select grades; plains are more plentiful
- The supply chain has been disrupted by severe weather throughout South Texas, causing power outages and road closures at the Mexican border
- Demand exceeds supply; prices are up
Florida
- Florida growing regions are not in production; the new crop season will begin in early March
-
Imported cucumbers from Honduras are shipping
- Supplies are tight
- Harvesting is in a gap due to storms earlier in the growing season
- Expect elevated markets over the next two weeks
