UPDATE: Colored Potatoes

Flooding and cold weather have diminished Midwest potato volume. Florida-grown Markon First Crop and Markon Essentials Potatoes will become available February 17. Supplies of colored potatoes will remain limited with elevated prices until production resumes in the Midwest in early August.
- Florida potatoes typically appear lighter in skin color than those grown in North Dakota
- Minor skinning and excess moisture/mold may be observed in fresh-run potatoes
- Store potatoes at 40 to 50 degrees F/4.4 to 10 degrees C; adequate air flow is critical
