UPDATE: Celery
June 10, 2019
Supplies remain limited as California growers transition out of the Oxnard growing region into the Salinas Valley.
- California’s Central Coast (Oxnard through Salinas Valley) weather has been warm during the day, but cooler at night, slowing maturity
- Both commodity and value-added yields remain low
- Production is expected to start in Michigan in July; overall stocks will increase at that time
- Mexican product is also on the market, but there isn’t enough volume to impact the market
