Warmer than normal day and nighttime temperatures in the Santa Maria and Watsonville, California growing regions have impacted strawberry supplies and quality. Expect higher prices, limited availability and quality issues through July.

• Markon First Crop Strawberries are sporadic; Markon Best Available and packer label will be substituted as needed
• The Santa Maria season is past peak production; supplies are declining
• Watsonville supplies are limited due to recent warm temperatures affecting quality and sizing
• Expect bleeding, bruising, over-ripeness, small sizing, softness, and reduced shelf-life over the next three weeks
