UPDATE: California Strawberries

Warmer than normal temperatures in the Santa Maria and Watsonville, California growing regions have impacted strawberry supplies. Expect tight inventories, higher prices, and quality concerns through July.
- Markon First Crop Strawberries are sporadic; Markon Best Available and packer label will be substituted as needed
- The Santa Maria season is past peak production and supplies are declining
- Watsonville supplies are limited due to recent warm temperatures affecting quality and sizing
- Expect bleeding, bruising, over-ripeness, small sizing, softness, and reduced shelf-life over the next three weeks
