Markon First Crop Strawberries are not available; Markon Best Available and packer label are being substituted as needed. Prices are skyrocketing with very few supplies on the market; availability is extremely limited with no short term relief on the horizon. Industry-wide quality issues are keeping yields very low this week. With 0.5” to 1.00” of rainfall in the forecast for Thursday, October 27 and Friday, October 28, stocks will remain extremely limited, possibly rained out, for next week.

• The Salinas/Watsonville season is finished for a vast majority of growers; other areas such as Florida, Mexico, and Oxnard, California will not increase production for another two to three weeks
• If the rain hits, expect another two weeks of extremely low yields and rain-related quality issues on the West Coast
